El piloto brasileño de Fórmula 1 Felipe Massa sufrió un grave accidente cuando conducía a más de 200 kilómetros por hora durante una prueba clasificatoria para el Gran Premio de Hungría.
Massa tuvo que ser operado de urgencia en un hospital húngaro después de sufrir una lesión en el cráneo y traumatismo cerebral.
Su equipo, Ferrari, dijo que el resultado de la intervención fue "positivo", aunque el piloto permanecerá bajo observación y en cuidados intensivos.
El brasileño perdió el control de su auto y se estampó contra un muro de neumáticos después de que una pieza del vehículo de Rubens Barrichello se desprendiera y le alcanzara en el casco.
Tanto la fuerza del impacto de esta pieza sobre la cabeza de Massa como el choque frontal lesionaron al piloto.
